papa’s tree ~ cherry blossom in memory {charlotte family photographer}

Spring is my favorite season. I love seeing all the new trees and plants in bloom, seeing the new life that comes back each year!  After losing my dad in 2008, I knew that as soon as we found our “forever” home I wanted to plant a tree in his memory.  It took a while to decide which kind, but we chose a cherry blossom tree to honor him.  I think about my dad every day.  But now it feels a little more like he is always with me and my family.  Each year I look forward to watching his tree bloom.  It’s one of the only large things we planted for landscape in our yard and he’s got the best view of the lake (as he would have wanted!).  Last weekend the blooms finally popped so I had to take some photographs. Thought I’d share a few   Enjoy! ❤
