This year I promised myself I’d do better about taking non-iphone photos of my boys. Of course, our family vacation to the beach is a perfect opportunity I was flipping through last year’s family beach trip album and it’s incredible to see how much different the boys are! Charlie was SOO little last year, and still drinking from his baby bottle. This year Will is so much more confident and independent (and potty trained!) which makes for a slightly more relaxing trip. Above all, it is so awesome to watch my boys play together, laugh, share memories and become best friends.
In the spirit of vacation I told myself this year that I would just post my JPEGs instead of trying to process allllllll the RAW files. It’s such a tug of war for me on family vacation photos – I reeealy want them to be super beautiful (my inner perfectionist) yet I’d also like to not spend any more time than I need to behind this dang computer. So my compromise is that I’d use the JPEGs and batch edit them (if needed) with a clean luminosity/saturation action that I created in Photoshop. Thanks to a CWB and ETTR my SOOC shots were pretty spot on. I’m excited with my Day 1 photos at the beach! Here are a few favorites…I still can’t believe my husband and I succeeded in bribing convincing the boys to wear their hats ❤ Enjoy!
